The Work of Restoration - Speaking (Bot9 #345)

Short and sweet this week as I invite you to pray with me over the doors the Lord is opening for speaking opportunities. When speaking is the focus during the year, I'll share for prayer. When I have time to write, you'll see a new Bottom of the Ninth in your inbox.

As I mentioned in my last Bottom of the Ninth, my word for the year is 'Restore.' Part of the work of restoration will be speaking with people and to groups about what I'm learning about Jesus, sports, and bringing those two things together in a meaningful way. When speaking opportunities present themselves, I will share here to invite you to pray.

Earlier this month, I traveled to the McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee with Baylor University's Faith and Sport Institute. In the middle of January, I spoke at a youth event at Bethel Church. Tonight I will speak at Colorado School of Mines to their FCA group. Each group was slightly different, but the opportunity to help people grow closer to Christ in their current walk was the same. Please continue to pray for those in attendance to hear the Good News!

Over the course of three weeks in late February and early March, Coach Jess Caldwell and I will present Sport as Worship during a three-week chapel series to a large group of athletes at Valor. It will be an opportunity to continue to impact the culture of athletics in our school with Jesus.

As I mentioned previously, God moves when you seek to restore things to His created order. Looking forward to all that is ahead in 2023!
